Desktop Blogging Tools

For those of you who don’t want to deal with doing your blog entries via the web interface, a plethora of desktop blogging tools are available.
I’m currently trying out Windows Live Writer (pictured above). It’s pretty easy to setup. It’s not without its bugs, though–Publishing doesn’t seem to work all the time. I’ve gotten around this by publishing stuff “as a Draft” and then going into the blog to do the actual posting. Sometimes the post date gets set to December 31, 1969 @ 7:00pm. Yeah, still buggy.
There are apparently a bunch of tools like this around. Let us know if you’ve tried any of these.

LicketyShip, Same Day Delivery

For you Bay Area gadget freaks, LicketyShip Same Day Delivery service just opened. They are promising the delivery of your toy within 4 hours of ordering. Anyone (*cough* Bernard *cough*) care to pay the premium and test this out?
A Unique Way to Have Fun with Photos
Being a photo enthusiast and an aspiring photographer, I am constantly finding myself wandering through various photographs on the wildly popular photo sharing Web site Flickr. The reason is simple; try and learn from others about how to take good, serious, and artful photographs. Well, one day, that went out the window when I stumbled across this Flickr group, Photoshop Tennis. No serious photographers here, just a new, good, fun, and very unique way to enjoy photos!

Assassin’s Creed on XBox 360
Assassin’s Creed is shaping up to be one of the “must-have” titles for the XBox 360. I’m most impressed with how the character interacts with the environment. The crowd AI is impressive as well. This is one of the first games I’ve seen where common sense might actually apply to gameplay. If you start climbing up a building in the middle of the marketplace, people will stop to stare at you. That’s probably not a good idea if you are trying to assassinate someone.
That’s My Idea!!!
I’ve joked about this setup off and on for the last 6 years! I better start patenting the idea to have the bike portion hooked up to a generator that feeds power back into the grid before someone steals it.
