Solid State Hard Drives

With the impending extinction of the platter-based hard drive (and by “impending” I’m predicting maybe about the same amount of time the “floppy” drive went out of fashion), the number of moving parts in my dream laptop is now down to two: the optical drive and the cooling fans.

By that time, I’m sure my definition of “the dream laptop” will have changed 127 times.
