Androids, Strong AI, and Smart Yogurt

According to this “futureologist” (that’s his real job title), androids will make up 10% of the population in the next 10-15 years, AI will start getting Masters degrees, and yogurt will become smarter than us all (through nanotechnology).

How to Travel With Expensive Equipment

Being a photographer, I get paranoid about how my camera, laptop and lenses are treated by airport security. Checking-in my stuff is a thought that has never occurred to me, until now.

Java for Your Flickr

I’m a massive user of Flickr. Although their upload tool usually gets the job done, it leaves more to be desired in terms of functionality. Luckily there are other programming geeks out there who feel the same way.

Canon’s Media Storage Viewers, Finally

I’ve been a die-hard Canon fan ever since I purchased their PowerShot G1.  Now I’m a 20D owner with a bag full of lenses.  When Canon announced that they are releasing their own Media Storage devices, I got excited.  When I saw that they designed the interface of the device after their dSLR cameras, I got really excited.  When I found out that they’ll be using the same batteries as my 20D, I was sold.

Bike Shorts That Don’t Look Like Bike Shorts

I just recently got back into cycling and as such started to look for comfortable clothing.  Since I’m using my bike to commute downtown more often, I wanted something that I could still wear in a store without feeling self-conscious about my man curves.

Looks like I’ve found what I’m looking for.

White Knight Story on PS3

With all the negative hype for the PS3, not even Final Fantasy XIII was enough to pull my interest in spending a gajillion dollars on this system.

White Knight Story has changed my tune.  While I’m still not planning on getting a PS3 anytime soon, at least now I’m actually considering the purchase whereas before I’ve ruled that possibility as insane.

Check out the following trailer… now.  This is what an RPG is supposed to be like.

Clinton Interview on Fox

It’s pretty neat to see a former president talk about his administration (and the current one) when he doesn’t have to worry about being conservative.

Check out this interview.  Fast-forward to 4:06.

I can’t imagine President Bush being this articulate.
