What is it about Japanese Horro Flicks?
I just finished watching “The Grudge II“
I know, I know, I know…
“The Grudge II” is not a Japanese Horror Flick. It’s a US adaptation of the second installment in the “Ju-On” series.
Anyways, I’m back home and I Googled a short little article that compares US Horro vs Japanese Horro. It’s actually a review of the film “Ôdishon” (yet another film of that genre) but in the article it compares why Japanese Horro will always outdo its US counterparts.
Oh… By the way, “The Grudge II”… Very scary. I could only Imagine how much scarier the Japanese Original will be

Interesting article. I watched Audition and man there were parts where I was squirming uncontrollably.
I haven’t seen The Grudge. Not sure if I’d like it or not. But I do get excited when the US decides to remake an asian film I’ve liked (like Pulse). Of course, I’m usually let down. Cuz the initial thought is that it’ll be better. But it’s usually not.
