Playstation 3 Crashes Twice (First Hand Experience)

I was @ the Sony Playstation Store @ the Metrion the other day and they had 4 PS3 Kiosks’ running two game demos.

I demoed an Off-Road Driving Simulation game called “MotorStorm” (from the makers of the “BurnOut” series). The game started and it ran fine until the Frame Rates started to slow then the game froze…

I said to the guy running the Kiosks’,

“Dude, it froze…”

The guy said,

“Hmm… okay?”

Quick reset and I’m off and running but I reach the same part in the game and it freezes again.

I said to guy again,

“Uhh… it froze again”

Kiosk dude,

“Hmm… must be the game software, it’s a “Demo” version. I can reset it again for yah”

I said,

“Nah… I’m good”

Hmm… I’m not sure if I want a PS3 anymore. Is this a software or hardware glitch?

  1. Seems like a software issue if it froze at the same part of the game

  2. Well… I’m committed.

I should have my PS3 by this weekend.

I’m actually getting a Japanese PS3. And yes, the Japanese and US version share the same “Region”. So I’ll be able to play US games, DVDs & Blu-Ray Discs. =D
