This is an awesome game, Bernard! Thanks for sharing. I’m sold on this. I’ll probably pick it up after I’m done with Final Fantasy XII.
I’m starting to really appreciate games with stylized graphics (as opposed to “realistic” graphics) more nowadays.
Games like this keeps the PS2 Alive.
HEY!!!
GAME DEVELOPERS… KEEP ‘EM COMING!!!
HOLY CRAP!!!
Just finished “ACT I” of this game and MAN!!! my ass hurts.
This game grabs you and has its way with you. Save points, as you progress, become fewer and farther in between, so you have no choice but to push forward in this game.
The Final Boss of the Act I is insanely hard to beat. I needed to consult the Strategy Guide to best it.
A definite must play game.
40+ Hours so far.
Man… This game definitely falls under the category of “Best Game No Ones Played”. It’s a shame cuz the developer “CLOVER Studios” (who brought you the “Viewtiful Joe” series) is no longer in existence. So a sequel to this Beautiful Game is not in the stars.

oh man, i absolutely love this game, i bought this game like, 2 or 3 days ago and i adore it.
The graphics are amazing and so distinct to the game. I also love the vast varitey of characters. Too bad there wont be an Okami 2. That i would for sure buy.
Love the game, everyone buy it!
Loved Okami! One of the best games I have ever played! The graphics are incredible, the range of movements and places are also amazing… was utterly heartbroken when I found out clover studios got killed… I was really looking forward to a sequel as I’m sure many others were too. *cry
Sorry to dig up an old post.
Just thought I’d give a brief review of the Wii version of Okami.
I rented it today and as novel as it is to control the brush strokes with the Wiimote. It just does not work as well as the PS2 analog stick.
I really wanted to like the Wii version but the PS2 version is the one to play.
