Morning Cup O' Joe

Time you enjoy wasting isn't wasted time.

Speed Up Firefox

I’m sure that most of you have broadband connections for work and/or home. Most internet browsers are optimized for dial-up connection speeds, so as a result, they aren’t optimized to take full advantage of what broadband has to offer. If you use Firefox, you can increase the number of simultaneous requests Firefox can make (thus increasing the speed of your browsing experience):

  1. In the address bar, type in: about:config
  2. Under “Filter:” type in: network.http
  3. Double-click on network.http.pipelining to set the value to true
  4. Double-click on network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set it to 10 (or higher)

There you go!

I know there’s an equivalent way of doing this for Internet Explorer, but it involves Registry Hacking.
