MacWorld 2007 Keynote by Steve Jobs
It seems like this is going to be a bad year for me financially. Apple, Inc. has ensnared my soul. I’ll be switching over before 2007 is up. I can feel it.
I’m very excited about the iPhone. All the cellphones/smartphones I’ve used thus far have been awkward and barely adequate at best. I have no doubt that Apple’s attention to detail when it comes to user interface will be applied lavishly in this realm. It excites me.
Of course this will involve:
- Purchase of a Mac Book Intel Core 2 Quad (when it’s available)
- Purchase of an iPhone, which involves
- A switch to Cingular from Verizon.
God help me.
That’s No Moon!
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that isn’t a fully-operational battle station on its way to destroy our planet as an example to a headstrong space-princess that the Empire is all-powerful. No rebel bases here. No sir-eee!
Soon after orbital
insertion, Cassini returned its best look yet at the heavily cratered
moon Mimas (398 kilometers, 247 miles across). The enormous crater at
the top of this image, named Herschel, is about 130 kilometers (80
miles) wide and 10 kilometers (6 miles) deep.
Wireless Device Charging
When I think of “wireless power”, I immediately think of lightning. Apparently some very smart people were able to create a device that can charge all your gadgets and doo-hickeys “non-inductively”.
Geometry Wars on PC
One of the most highly addictive Xbox 360 Live Arcade games will be coming to the PC in the near future. I played this game on a friend’s Xbox awhile back and could barely put it down. This $5 shareware game almost convinced me to buy a $400 Xbox system.
