if i remember correctly, the limit portion of the check will equate to +1 (can anyone confirm/refute this?).

So he’s basically written a check to Verizon for .0002 cents?

I might just try that with the cable co.

  3. The limit portion is approaching infinity. With the denominator approaching a large number, the value becomes infinitesimally small, so you can call it 0. :)

If I’m reading that correctly, then he wrote a check for -0.998 essentially.

  4. I think the limit approaches zero but it’s a sum of all the terms leading up to zero, which I believe equals 1, so the check is for 0.2 cents.

  5. Ah yes! The sum! Man, I haven’t done this kind of math in like 10 years. :)

It’d still be .002, though, right? Less than 1 cent? ;)
