Morning Cup O' Joe

Time you enjoy wasting isn't wasted time.

HOLY CRAP!!!

It can’t be that easy to set-up!?!

First I bought this “Do-Hickie”

Then got this…

“Daisy Chained” those two to my Cable Modem…

Then went to Vonage.com to set-up my account.

Entered the MAC Address of the Linksys Phone Adaptor.

BAM!!!

Dial Tone…

Once again, HOLY CRAP!!!

  1. For those who are wondering, I wanted to sign-up for Comcast’s VoIP Service. But, for some odd reason it’s not available in my area.

This worked out just fine because Vonage is like $18 cheaper per month. =D

  2. Good thing the judge removed the court order than Vonage could not recieve new customers due to copywrite infringement with Verizon.

  4. I was considering VoIP for awhile, but really, we don’t use our landline for much besides international calls. The last time I compared price plans for international calls between VoIP and AT&T, the price difference was negligible. Maybe that’s changed now.

It seems that a lot of people we know are giving up the landlines and are just using their cell phones as their main phone. I’m starting to consider this as well.

  5. More than a few times the hospital was unable to get in touch with me thru my cell phone. My Vonage line is mainly a back-up when I’m On-Call @ the hospital.
