Terabyte Discs Use Holographic Storage
An Israeli-based technology company, Mempile, is developing a DVD-sized (12 cm) translucent disc that can hold layers upon layers of data. From my understanding, the read laser shoots through the disc (as opposed to being reflected like today’s CDs and DVDs). Pretty neat stuff.
