MacRumors: Buyer’s Guide
If you’re planning on making a purchase in the near future for an Apple product (like an iPod or a MacBook Pro), you might want to check out MacRumors: Buyer’s Guide first. They’ve compiled a list of Apple’s major products and an estimation of their product lifecycles.
So the hard drive on my laptop is starting to fail. I’m taking that as a sign to finally make the leap to the light side. 
Of course, according to MacRumors, the MacBook Pro is near the end of its lifecycle, so I’ll have to wait a little bit longer.
