Maker Faire
My good friend, Tom, participated in the Maker Faire this year. He made a video of his adventures.
Photosynth
Photosynth is experimental visualization technology that utilizes titanic datasets, like all of Flickr, and presents the data in an easily navigable fashion.
I was most impressed about four minutes in when the demo showed a reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral from just images found on Flickr (tagged appropriately of course). I was completely blown away.
This is an amazing feat of software development.
Don’t just stare at the video! Try it out!
International Choral Festival & Competition

This is going to be a pretty spectacular event for our small town of San Luis Obispo. It will be the first of its kind for the Central Coast. If you’re free the last weekend of June, I suggest checking it out.
My wife and I already bought tickets for the Saturday 7:30pm show, the Sunday 1:00pm show, and the Sunday 7:30pm finale. Those should be the ones to go to.
No $30 iPod adapter required for video out
Turns out that Apple’s proprietary TV Video out interface isn’t all that super secret. Just use the red wire instead of yellow.
