Photosynth
Photosynth is experimental visualization technology that utilizes titanic datasets, like all of Flickr, and presents the data in an easily navigable fashion.
I was most impressed about four minutes in when the demo showed a reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral from just images found on Flickr (tagged appropriately of course). I was completely blown away.
This is an amazing feat of software development.

I don’t think shooting Notre Dame would be appreciated – bullets cause a lot of damange :p
My misspelling aside (*damage), this is really cool. I loved his use of ‘metaverse’, it brought Snow Crash to mind.
