Czech Pranksters Hack Weather Report
From Boing Boing:
Like many European TV channels the state-owned CT2 broadcasts live panorama / weather streams from popular recreation areas in its morning programme, fully automated 30 second pans per site with music in the background. Initiative Ztohoven, a collective around Roman Tyc, somehow managed to inject a pre-recorded pan with a sudden atomic explosion in the midst of a beautiful countryside. No word how they did it, assume they tricked the cabling on the unmanned camera site. Tyc also replaced traffic light icons in Prague with illustrations of drunk, pissing or ranting figures a few months ago.
Library Tools, For Actual Libraries
When was the last time you set foot in your local public library? My wife and I get books, CDs and DVDs from our local library all the time. You can even download audiobooks from the library (though this looks like a Windows only deal).
Lifehacker has some great tips and software to make your library experience an easy one.
Design Your Own T-Shirt

This a pretty cool idea. I was surprised at the amount of control at your fingertips.
WebOS Review

Being a web application developer and dealing with browser (in)compatibility all too often, the idea of interacting with a pseudo-operating system within the confines of a browser doesn’t sound too appealing to me. I have to take my hat off to these developers, though, for taking the challenge.
Check out this review of twenty WebOSes (yes, twenty… I had no idea there were even this many).
Most of these offerings are Flash-based which gets you past most of the compatibility issues with browsers. They range from simple to complex (like the one pictured above which features the equivalent of a Linux LiveCD).

Despair Inc. raises hope for new lows of motivation
Hopefully you are all familiar with the posters, calendars and other products available at http://www.despair.com/, but they have really driven up the opportunity to demotivate with their Parody Motivator Generator. I can see a fair bit of time wasting opportunity here.
