I have no doubt that the PS3 will recover from its bumpy beginnings.
Seeing this next-gen console release reminds me of those dumb “gasoline boycott” emails. So what if we boycott gasoline on one day, we still *need* gas to run.
I think the same applies to the hardcore gamers. Fans of Sony will eventually get a PS3. Sony knows this. As much as people complain, they are still under the yoke.
