One of the most annoying things about software nowadays (across all platforms) is how uninstalling an application still leaves remnants of the software all over the place.  Luckily there are a bunch of free applications out there to completely irradicate every last remnant of that offending software you had installed.

For Windows, there’s Revo Uninstaller (pictured above).

For Mac OSX, there’s AppDelete (pictured below).
