DIY Mirror Telescope

This has to be one of the largest, do-it-yourself telescope kits out there. I’m guessing it doesn’t come with an equatorial mount.
Anybody going to check out the Perseid Meteor Shower this weekend?

We were driving up the Owens Valley on Friday night. Very little light pollution over there and we saw some pretty impressive meteors. One fell and went through a series of bright flashes and pulses as it descended. Finally going behind the Sierra’s from our point of view. The final flash was so bright it lit up the entire 20+ mile wide valley. It was probably only a precursor to the real show, but impressive nonetheless.
