Effect vs. Trick
I just received this video from Joe. Joe’s friend, Rich Ferguson, is a very talented magician/entertainer. He lives in the area so he joins us for group lunch every once in awhile. Nice guy.
In the above video, Rich explains the difference between an effect and a trick. Enjoy!

Very nice =D
Althoght I don’t see how the Spider factors into the trick.
Rick, was at my grad night party. He was amazing, everyone in my class had their school yearbooks with them so others could sign it. Rich gets his hands on a copy and flips through the 100 pages in about a minute or so, he hands me the yearbook and tells me to find a cute girl on a random page.
So I flip to a random page and find a cute girl. Rich asks me what kind of page it is, a class page, or a sports page or a event page.
I tell him its a class page with a picture of every student in that class. He asks for the page number and I tell him its 74. He asks me what row the girl is in and I tell him. He tells me the girls name is Katie, and I said no.
He thinks a bit harder and he tries again with Molly. And to my amazement he is correct. He says, I thought you would pick Katie, she is cuter. I look at Katies picture and say wow, I didnt even see her picture and yeah she is cuter.
Anyways its some powerfull hocuc pocus he has going on,
