LucidTouch, A see-through mobile device prototype

The iPhone is clearly one of the golden standards of touch-screen interface implementation. With just two fingers you can manipulate the iPhone in a mostly intuitive fashion.

Now imagine using all of your fingers to interact with the device. That’s what LucidTouch is about. The prototype featured in the video above is obviously very clunky and unwieldy, but the proof of concept is solid. I can imagine devices employing this technology within the next 3 years.
