Here’s a cool website that shows the computer interfaces depicted in various movies. How many can you name without having to mouse-over the image to get the answer?

Hyperbole and a Half

scary9

Hyperbole and a Half is a wonderful blog about a woman recounting her childhood from her perspective at the time. It is wonderfully written and HILARIOUS. Every story I’ve read thus far had me in stitches.

It’s a fun read for anyone—inspiring heavy bouts of nostalgia from my own childhood. It’s especially fun for me now that I’m a parent and am re-experiencing a lot of this from the “other side.”

My two favorite stories so far: The Scariest Story and The God of Cake

Great find, Joe!

Star Wars Episode IV in Iconoscope!

I’m a big sucker for smart design. Web Designer Wayne Dorrington succinctly captures the essence of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope in icons! It’s so concise.

My favorite is #6.

Most Ridiculous Action Sequence EVER [Enthiran]

Enthiran

This is what happens when you give an unlimited budget to a special effects crew. It goes so far past ridiculousness that it rounds the corner on AWESOME and stays in orbit indefinitely.

The only thing that can top this is if it’s also a musical.

Wait, it is.

Real-time Position of 13,000 Satellites in Google Earth

That looks… crowded.

I chuckled about that scene in Wall-E when he breaks orbit. I didn’t realize it wasn’t far from the truth.

You know… this scene:

Cee-Lo’s “F**K YOU.”

I can’t get this song out of my head. If you don’t mind the lavish use of the F-Bomb, please enjoy. If you do mind, then please forward this to a friend who doesn’t mind–it deserves propagation!
